Center for Research on Global Change (CRGC)
Exploring and understanding the social, political, economic, and cultural dimensions of global change is the focus of the Center for Research on Global Change. The CRGC supports projects that foster collaborations among social scientists and connect them with their colleagues in the humanities, natural sciences, arts, engineering, and professional schools. The current major project of the Center is designing a graduate certificate and interdisciplinary training program for Ph.D. students in global climate change studies; this project is a collaboration among three research centers at the University of Kansas (Center for the Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets, Biodiversity Institute, and the Institute for Policy & Social Research) in partnership with Haskell Indian Nations University (Haskell Environmental Research Studies Center), the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Center for Ecosystem Research), and the University of Copenhagen (Centre for Ice and Climate).
